Principal, Project Engineering
Aerojet Rocketdyne seeks a Remote- Principal, Project Engineering.
The Project Engineering Principal will plan and perform propulsion program tasks in conjunction with program management.
With minimal direction, you will implement design and analysis tasks, special studies, experiments, and hardware/test requirements.
The preferred candidate will possess subject matter expertise in safety-critical integrated electronic and pyrotechnic devices for commercial and defense applications.
It is desired that the candidate have an understanding of the process used for qualifying ignition safety devices and the associated government approval Boards.
Additionally, you will coordinate ballistic, thermal, and structural analyses, as well as perform post-test examination, analyses, and reporting.
You should also have the ability to successfully:
Provide imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions to a wide range of technical problems involving the conventional utilization of engineering techniques Conceive and plans projects involving the development of new methods to attain objectives Provide direction in problem investigations and resolution across functional areas Lead investigation activity if sufficient experience in investigation of tools and procedures has been demonstrated Prepare technical and design requirements in support of project goals Keep current in relevant technologies and methods in support of project assignments May provide technical guidance and mentoring to less senior project engineers and project support personnel May be assigned Cost Account Management duties May perform as the engineering cost account manager This posting may represent one or more specific immediate or near-term openings.
