Manager of Engineering (Remote)
Zapproved is hiring a results-driven Manager of Engineering to oversee teams that will be driving major transformations in our software suite. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background, good business acumen, and demonstrated experience managing diverse teams. You should also be comfortable working with a wide variety of stakeholders - from engineering to product to executives, and everything in between. Leading 1-2 high-performing engineering teams. We work in scrum teams, usually with 4 - 6 developers, QA, UX, and Product partners and do our best to follow agile practices and principles in our work You will lead your teams by example to embrace deep technical ownership of one to many products Empower engineers and teams by providing clear guidance and feedback with empathy and understanding Leverage incremental delivery practices to turn big initiatives into a series of small, fast experiments Mentor! Teach and learn from your leadership teammates to help us collectively build and iterate on our culture, process, skills, and product Deliver constantly. Experience hiring and managing high performing development teams 5
years of software engineering experience delivering web-based software; experience at the senior or architect level preferred Experience delivering SaaS applications in a cloud-based environment (AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience with .NET Framework, .NET Core, Angular, and/or React Experience using continuous integration and continuous delivery tools and best practices Experience leading large initiatives such as new product or service from inception to delivery Experience utilizing Agile methodologies to accelerate decisions/outcomes, minimize risk, and balance the short/long term goals Experience helping teams remove ambiguity, enabling them to deliver quality solutions Business acumen and ability to foster relationships with customers and stakeholders across the company A passion for building a productive and inclusive work environment that will attract and retain top talent Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills Strong attention to detail; Ability to see both the strategic goals and the tactical milestones A desire to continuously learn and improve for both yourself and your teams Experience operating a 24x7 software or service What Would Be Nice:
Experience in a scaling SaaS company preferred Experience working with contractors, both embedded and external Experience defining and documenting product and technical requirements Experience leading cross team projects or delivering software that had multi-team dependencies We are interested in every qualified candidate with authorization to work in the United States. However, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Compensation:
The anticipated salary for this position will be $116,647 - $151,489. Individual base pay is determined by a variety of factors including the experience and qualifications of a candidate, as well as internal and external equity.
